Daily Charge: Taking Action, Fear, and Your Willingness to CommitMay 20, 2020
3 IDEAS FROM ME
Enough talk. People are impacted, influenced, and served through your actions.
And, your impact, influence, and level of success are exponentially amplified when your actions have persistent direction.
Enthusiasm has a half-life. The very instant you delay taking action, 3 things happen:
- You grant permission to procrastinate.
- You justify why it's OK to not move forward.
- Your enthusiasm gives way and is immediately replaced by fear.
Immediate action suffocates fear, reduces future procrastination, and builds your enthusiasm toward you achieving your goals.
Each day we are faced with an ultimatum: take meaningful action that creates forward movement OR delay the achievement of your goals. You have the ability to determine your future through your actions.
2 QUOTES FROM OTHER THOUGHT LEADERS
"inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy."
Norman Vincent Peale
"Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the case, of fear."
1 QUESTION (and a challenge)
What critical action will you commit to today?
I challenge you to not only commit, but to adopt the mindset that everything else is a distraction until you achieve your commitment.
